Ivors Academy Acts on Composer Credits
The Ivors Academy has initiated a campaign to confront ghostwriting in the music industry. The campaign, called 'End Ghostwriting', targets credit and payment issues for composers behind the scenes in film, television, and gaming music. Many composers have contributed to major productions without public recognition or fair compensation, a practice now under industry scrutiny (Ivors Academy).
Composer Support and Industry Backing
The campaign has gained the support of notable names like David Arnold, Jessica Jones, Ben Foster, and Sheridan Tongue.
“This is a collective stand for transparency and respect in the industry,” says Sheridan Tongue, composer behind "Silent Witness" and "Wonders of the Universe." (End Ghostwriting campaign)
