Georgia's Shift to Enhanced Direct Enrollment
New Enrollment Pathways
Georgia Access rolled out a unique Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) system—an approach that lets residents apply for and enroll in health coverage directly through private sector websites. This model leverages both insurer and broker tech, expanding consumer platforms and streamlining enrollment (Health Affairs).
Partners and Roles
Web brokers enable sign-ups across plans from multiple insurers.
Insurers offer direct enrollment for their own coverage lines.
Leadership and Collaboration
EDE efforts in Georgia were steered by Hanumanth Praveen Ravindran, a digital health veteran. He united technology, policy, and consumer outreach, focusing on cross-functional teamwork and user needs (CMS).
